Dynamic Tree Services is a 100% indigenous owned and operated family business, with over 30 years of experience in tree work. We have had the honor of winning the 2022 Best Tree Service award for the city of Burnaby and Coquitlam.  We pride ourselves on taking the initiative to minimize environmental impact and deliver on each task with superior workmanship, continually pursuing excellence.  

David is the Owner of Dynamic Tree Services, he originates from the Peguis Band in Manitoba. When he was a child, he was taken in the 60’s scoop and grew up with an amazing non-indigenous family. He always felt a sacred connection to nature, land and the trees, he had an early interest in climbing and admiring the beauty from amazing heights. 

Trees make Dave feel safe and at peace, they are more than just consoling, they are necessary. Trees provide fruit, shelter, and shade, home for animals as well as arrows for hunting and totem poles to pass on stories. Trees communicate cures for ailments, impart knowledge, and offer spiritual direction. Dave is dedicated to preserving trees whenever possible, understanding the importance of the role they play. 

When Dave was in his 30’s he found out that he was indeed indigenous, something he always suspected but was not able to acknowledge until adoption records were released. This was the point in time where he truly understood his connection to nature and drumming and how it was in his blood all along. 

Dave strives to learn as much as he can about his culture, traditions, and practices. He attends friendship centers, finding a brotherhood and Elders that understand his background, upbringing and provide support and wisdom to help him continually learn and grow as a proud indigenous man. He now has the honor to pass down his culture to his children. 

The trees are extremely important, Dave believes his ancestors’ spirits are there and this work helps him to continually connect to his roots.

 We have all necessary licenses for our area, and we carry insurance for all of our projects. Once our services have been obtained by you, we are happy to provide copies. Some larger construction projects require special licenses and certifications. We have trusted members of the arboriculture community that we work with for those special cases.
 

Some projects will require a permit or an Arborist report, however, you will be advised of this during your quote.  Details regarding which types and sizes of trees that require permits can be found on your municipalities home page. There you will have access to local bylaws, permits and directions to pay those fees.
